TATLER  fishing reels were marketed during the period of 1953 to 1989 by Grice & Young.

They were known in the game fishing world for their achievements at landing large fish and their record speaks by examining the following:
5 BRITISH and 2 WORLD RECORDS, plus thousands of near record breakers were all taken using the TATLER  Multiplier Reel during 1953 to 1989.
- A BRITISH RECORD MAKO SHARK of 476LB, was landed using an original TATLER  Multiplier Reel.
- A BRITISH & WORLD RECORD PORBEAGLE SHARK of 540LB, was landed using an original TATLER  Multiplier Reel.
- A BRITISH & WORLD RECORD HALIBUT of 234LB, was landed using an original TATLER  Multiplier Reel.
